We succesfully held our third Women in Science Day on Nov. 5th 2008, and plan to hold the fourth next Nov. Check back for more info in August when we will start the planning process. We could always use more volunteers!

Mission The mission of the Saint Louis Regional Chapter of the Association for Women in Science is to promote a positive environment for women in the larger scientific community through education, advocacy, and outreach. We work to increase the available mentoring and networking resources for women at all stages of their scientific careers by sponsoring workshops and by holding social gatherings for AWIS members. We also work to improve the perception of women within the scientific community by increasing recognition for the accomplishments of female scientists. Available as word file for download here. AWIS, and AWIS events, is open to all women and men of the St. Louis scientific community concerned with promoting a positive environment for women in the larger scientific community, at all levels of scientific training, in all manners of scientific pursuit.
